Coming Soon—Hickory Hill

Hickory Hill is planned for the eastern part of Hernando County and will be a golf and equestrian community consisting of 3000 acres (MOL) that are adjacent to the beautiful Spring Lake area, just to the west of I-75 and just south of SR 50.

Plans are for approximately 1750 custom homes, championship level golf courses with clubhouse facilities, an equestrian center, and state-of-the-art fitness facilities with both tennis and swimming.

Spring Lake is a unique small community of Hernando County.  Located close enough to the I-75 corridor for easy commute, it has held its loyal residents for many years.  The many Grand-daddy oaks in the rolling hills add to its charm.  Among the diversity of the area are numerous horse and alpaca farms,  Blueberry farms, hay fields, cattle farms, and citrus groves.  Most homes in the Spring Lake area of Hernando County are on larger acreage parcels while there are some on as small as 2 ½ acres.  There are still many families in the area that have been there for decades and have their large farms and ranches.

This part of Hernando County has an abundance of wildlife.  You may happen upon turkey, deer, fox, wild pigs, and gopher turtles.  In addition, there are many hawks and an occasional eagle.

While the new Hickory Hill of Hernando County is on the east side and close to I-75, it can also be reached by the Suncoast Parkway.  The Suncoast Parkway, as well as I-75 provide Hernando County residents with quick and easy access to the Tampa Airport.  This Hickory Hill project will also be about in the center of a triangle with points at Tampa, Orlando, and Ocala so there will be an easy commute to any city.  It is also close to Dade City—well known for the many antique shops.
